July 16/12

My laptop is being temperamental and it only struck me today that I could blog with my phone!

I made some of these hearts out of recycled red wool sweaters bought from our trusty Frenchy's, ribbons and a fabulous silk yarn that I purchased at Cricket Cove. The idea came from a similar heart that I saw in a shop in Annapolis Royal, NS a few weeks ago.

Other than that, not much crafting going on with gardening and summer season being here. That reminds me, I should pick my green beans today!

Wow! I knew that it has been a while since I have posted an entry, but I did not realize that it has been over 6 months! I will blame it on mis-placing my password. Yeah, that's it.
Today is a rainy spring day, but that is okay because it is giving me an excuse to be as lazy as possible. Thursday is a regular day off for me and there is something delicious about being home when all the 9-5ers are slaving away. Once, I get the vacuuming done, my to-do list is done for today and I can return to brain dead mode.

June 13/04

Yesterday, I went out on a studio tour that is organized by local artists. Well, perhaps "tour" might be a bit of an exaggeration in my case because I only went to one studio! The studio that I visited was that of one of my elementary school teachers who, in his retirement, has been working as a potter. He has always done pottery, but now he can has time to be a potter. As part of our conversation in his studio, I thanked him for being such a great teacher and he in turn encouraged me to start writing again. He used to teach me in a gifted students program and remembered my love of words. Unfortunately, over the years, I have let that little voice get drowned out by all the noise in my life. His words to me were that even if I only write for 1 hour a week, it is the process and who knows where it will take me.

May 30/04

Bleh! It is raining again, but the pollen keeps coming. There may be typos in this post because my eyelids are sticking together despite my best efforts. The constant drizzle has been preventing me from doing some of my favourite things like gardening and hanging clothes out on the line to dry. This weather is a cruel joke tacked onto the tail end of the brutally cold winter that we just had here. We want warm weather and we want it now! (Hello up there! Are you listening?)
Time for me to ingest some antihistamines and face the day.

May 24/04

Well, here it is the Victoria Day long weekend here in Canada and of course, it is raining. In some way, perhaps it is fortunate because I am forced to face some of the clutter of my house instead of escaping to Fundy National Park for the afternoon. Plus, cleaning out the junk will give me time to sort through some thoughts that I have been having about either buying land to build a house or moving to Australia. It amuses me because of the reasons that holds me back from jumping on the plane is my stuff which includes a house. Streamlining the stuff should help me decide, methinks.
